.45 ACP PCC options?
I only have one PCC right now. It is a Marlin 1894 in .44 mag. I was wanting to know what my options were for a PCC in .45 ACP since that is my primary PC. Thanks.
I'm not sure what your budget is, but the HK USC is a great .45 cal PCC. Here is a Google link:
http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&expIds=17259,26425,26637,27219,27355,27357,27360,27393&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=hk+usc&cp=6&wrapid=tljp1288788925500010&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=9198410927532827031&ei=q1vRTM_WBYLGlQeL7amtDA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1&sqi=2&ved=0CBoQ8wIwAA#
I used to own one years ago and it was very accurate, fun to shoot, and easy to clean. The only downside (aside from cost) is mag capacity is limited to 10 rounds and like everything HK, mags and other parts are expensive.
If you have any 1911s...
... but they are long out-of-production and getting harder to find all the time.
That is a Marlin Camp rifle, correct? I heard they are prone to having cracked stocks.

Yep, that's the .45ACP version, uses 1911 mags.
These...
... are the 9mm ones, use S&W pistol mags.
I've never had a stock crack on me yet.
no clue on your budget, but if it's for fun - KRISS. if you're goin to use it to keep your self safe - USC
definitely not the other way around
4595
Kahr makes Thompson sub-gun replicas, semi-auto, of course.
The Beretta CX4 Storm.
ARs in 45acp.
Masterpiece Arms MAC-10 carbines.

I've heard the same but mine, purchased new in the '80s, still has its original stock after many thousands of rounds. One item recommended is replacing the factory recoil spring with a stronger unit, and you need to make sure the recoil buffer is in good shape; if it fails you can get garbage in the action and a very hard hit by the bolt on the rear of the receiver; that was described as a common cause for stock cracking.
I love mine. It has its quirks but it is an absolute delight to use.
And, there are a couple of options for AR-15s in this cartridge.
Pretty sure that Hi-Point just released one too.
No experience with it, but my HP 9mm carbine ran flawlessly and was minute-of-pie-tin accurate out to 100 yards.
Here is my custom CX4 .45. Stock mods, rail mod, and US made 922r parts. Neat little gun.

I wanted a 45acp with more than 10 round capacity. I remember grease gun mags from my military service were 30 rounds. What uses them now? Cavalry arms was making an AR lower that had a magazine well wide enough to take a GG mag. Hahn makes a mag bock and Olympic Arms makes an upper in 45 acp. The 45acp is on top and after making that I had to make a 9mm version.

Very nice.
I'm covered as far as 9mm ARs, but I have a couple of extra Cav lowers lying around and I have been
very tempted to make at least one of them a .45ACP like that.
It's bolt action, but it takes 1911 mags, and it's integrally suppressed.
I dream about owning a DeLisle.
Me too!! or something like this

You can buy a new lower for the USC that uses greasegun mags
Does anyone make an unsuppressed DeLisle?
I like the idea of a bolt action .45 carbine. I did see that conversion for a K98, but I rather would get something completely built. Even something in 9mm would be a neat toy.
I'll say it 'cause no one else will. Hi Point
have one in 40 S&W. ugly ass sin, pain in the ass to disassemble for cleaning. but it's been reliable in dust, rain, mud, snow, and ice
Heavy as sin, but a total HOOT to shoot!

There was one on gunbroker with a fake suppressor for months. Not there at the moment. May have sold or the auction may have just ended. Check there from time to time.
An actual grease gun would be cool. I have the USC converted to take grease gun mags. I'm happy with it.
My Marlin Camp 45 wearing a Choate folding stock and red-dot sight. I love this carbine except for the fact it throws brass for 25 feet.
What magazine is that and does it work worth a shit?

The 45 Camp Carbine uses 1911 mags, so I'd bet that's a
PRO MAG 1911 DRUM.
Hopefully he'll come back and address the "does it work" part –– I'm curious as well.

Don't waste your money on that POS magazine. Maybe Pro Mag has addressed the problems associated with it but I have never been able to load more than 13 rounds into it. It would be sweet if it worked correctly. I'm afraid to take it apart to see if I can "fix" it, I envision a flat steel spring flying into Lord knows where.
I will say this for the Camp, with hand loads of 6.2 grains Unique, 230 gr. LRN, I have hit golf balls at 50 yards. Everyone who has ever shot it, wants one.
That's what I thought it was. I've owned a few ProMag items in the past and expected the answer, but was hoping against hope that since it was pictured with the gun it might work. The fear you have of taking it apart reminds me of when I tried to do some work on a lawnmower I used to own that had a problem with the pull start retracting. I'll never try to take apart the pull start mechanism on a lawnmower again. It was like Pandora's Box. All that evil coming out and no way to get it back in.

Bolt action .45 ACP? Check out Dolomite's cool little rifle in this thread:

Hi Point...... 45 ACP

Did they use an existing mag platform (1911, etc.) for that one, or is it proprietary like their 9mms?

Fugly yes, but life time warranty whether you are the original purchaser or not and that my friends is pretty cool. As far as the magazine goes I'm of no assistance.

Proprietary, but cheap...I think I saw them for 18.00 including shipping...I'll be a test case.....I'm going for it......

Armalon probably produce the best. They are offered in everything from 9mm to .50AE; to order, of course. They are conversion from the No.4 I think. I don't know about it being done with an SMLE, but it might be possible.
A number of options are offered like synthetic or wood, cock on opening, match trigger, etc. They can be incredibly expensive for a top-spec build. They use Desert Eagle magazines, 1911 mags and certain others depending on calibre. I always wanted one in 10mm.
Armalon are based in London, England. He does export as far as I know.
I can't believe nobody said UZI. Haven't shot one but remember hearing about .45 and 9mm kits for the same receiver.
if you like delisle carbines, Special Interest Arms makes copies of delisles, silent or not. Plus many other calibers based on modified Enfields.

Valkyrie Arms makes a near true reproduction. That's where I got the picture.

Just sent them an email about it...

Someone asked about the M3A1, Valkyrie also did some of those, but I never heard if they worked correctly or not.

I threw together a DI upper out of leftover prototype parts on a Cav arms Lower just for giggles to see if it would run.......it did.....flawlessly....so well in fact that someone bought it off me......and now I'm buildin another one for me.....

I remember the UZI from vector that are converted to use the grease gun magazines, I wonder how reliable they are?

Very reliable with the GG lower. 30 rounds of .45 acp can't be beat.
Integrally suppressed .45acp using a Bazooka Bros lower and M3 greasegun magazines.

I got these 2 in .45.
HK USC with grease gun conversion, and the MPA .45 that's built like a tank.
plus I could swap mags if needed, they both use unmodified GG mags.
an older pic:

I remember throwing together my first DI45 together back in dec08

10mmDI before that. The cavarms is a great platform for these uppers. The new keepshooting GG mags can be hit or miss though.
I like the USC carbines but damn they can get spendy. If HK didnt hate us all they could sell us ready to go SBRs. That would be schweet.
