Marlin 1894CSBL .357m, 16"
I saw this on the Walmart website. I have never seen it on the Marlin website. Anyone know anything about it? I think, IMHO, its a pretty little gun. Looks like fun.

I think this model got caught up in the Remington takeover and move. I don't believe any have actually been made.

Not sure about that actually. In the long search for my own recent .357, I seem to remember seeing one of these at a local shop (or one remarkably similar)...say about a year ago. At the time I wanted a straight boat CSS (a hope I eventually gave up on) and it was described as a supplier requested (Talo or some such thing) model.
Really don't know more, but I have definitely seen...and held it in my hot little hands...an 1894 with grey laminate stocks, big loop, and *possibly* rail within the last year or so.

There are some 45-70s that look like this out there, but I've never seen any other calibers.
In any event, there aren't many of them out there, if any.
Well, I want one. So somebody make this happen. Okay?
How much?
It only holds 7 + 1 rounds??
Looks like a nice set up, I really like the XS sights. I have a 16" 1894 CP in 357 and its one of my favorites. Mine will hold 8+1 in 357 and 38 special, but feeds the 357's smoother.

I don't know about a price. Capacity is not a concern for me with this gun.
I've had my eye on this lever gun as well. MSRP is about $998.00 so street price should be a couple of C-notes less I would think.
I like the stock and big loop lever. Anyone know where these parts can be found and would the work on a regular 1894?

Thats hot. I would buy one for sure......but not as my only 38spcl.
I am lusting for the same gun.
However, I plan to have it converted to a TD model and have the barrel threaded for suppressor use.
I WILL have this, eventually.
Hmm, 357 Remington Magnum. Never heard of it. Now the .357 Smith & Wesson Magnum, I've heard of. There is a .357 Remington Maximum but the COL might be a bit of a stretch for the 1894 action. Either someone messed up, or Remington is getting to be like Colt and not wanting to use the name of another manufacturer when it comes to cartridge identification.
