Does anyone have any info on RED Head 14 gunsafe fro Bass Pro
Im picking one up this weekend from Bass Pro. I have read good reviews. But other than its made by Browning i dont believe everything else on the internet. Id rather here it from the horses mouth. Any RedHead Safe owners on here that can give me some feedback, things i should be looking into
Not exactly made by Browning. They are made by the company who makes Browning safes, Prosteel. They make a nice safe for Browning, but that doesn't mean that you are getting anything close to it by getting the redhead. Kind of like how one company makes half a dozen different car battery brands. They are made with different specs. Not just a different sticker. I think the Rhino metals safes from Costco are a much better value.
The above poster already touched on it.
Redhead is the private label for Bass Pro. Their gun safe line includes safes built by Prosteel, safes imported by Prosteel, and safes imported by Granite Security. Many of the Prosteel safes are identical to their Browning counterparts, up to and including having the Browning logo present on the safe.
If you have a link or photo, I could probably narrow it down a bit more for you.
