Recomendations on large safe in the <$4000 range

Were moving soon to a larger house and I want to get the biggest safe (within reason) I can for the new house. I can spend about $4000, obviously less is better though. So far I am liking the Cannon Commander 54 and the Sturdy Safe Model 4827. The Sturdy safe seems to be slightly better built, looks to have better fire insulation but doesn't look to have any kind of seal to prevent smoke from getting in. The Cannon definitely looks more refined and is slightly cheaper but only comes with an electronic lock that I have seen and has thinner walls.

So what are the thoughts on these two models and are there any other recommendations in that price range?

Sturdy uses boiler gasket that is designed for heavy and frequent use as would be used for kilns and ovens and custom fit the gasket to each door. With the tight tolerances of the door itself along with the gasket, Sturdy gun safes do seal up tight.

I'm looking at the same Sturdy, with about the same budget as you. There are a few other options I've tried to narrow it down to, the Superior Supreme S55, AMSEC BF, and a few others. The problem is, we are sitting at the RSC and TL rated margin (nice RSC, entry level TL) area, and it's hard to decide. I'm wondering if I should just sit a bit longer and wait/save for a nice, big, TL rated safe. Either way, good luck.
