is there much security difference between low priced RSC($700-$1300)?

i have been looking for s safe (RSC) and my biggest requirements are size and price. it has to fit in a closet so my maximum size is about 30x23. I have found Amsec SF6032 which should fit like a glove. The safe looks nice and is just about perfect. I think i it last years model and does not have the door organizer. The dealer says the will take $1300 cash for it. Since it is local i would also pay tax which would add about $100 bringing it up to $1400. I think i would pick it up in a home depo trailer and hand cart which should not cost much at all.

While i have been looking at safes i keep hearing that most regular theives dont even touch the safe. Mostly they are smash and grab types. While i have been out looking I have also come across a few safes that i would consider "cheap" and initially disregarded. Stack-on safes, Costcos Bighorn or Cannon safes and most recently A Citadel safe by Heritage. These are all about 1/2 the price of the Amsec. While non of l=them look at all as nice some of them do have some nice features such as locking bolts on 3 or 4 sides and external hinges.

I know that if someones shows up with a angle grinder any of these RCS will be defeated FAST. But short of that is the Amsec level of safe really any better from a security point of view than these other cheaper safes?

Check the fire rating.

There's not a lot of difference in security.

The fire ratings don't really mean much either. Almost all of these types of gun safes have gypsum board for insulation. If it was as fireproof as the manufacturers lead consumers to believe, then your house would never be on fire in the first place, since it's covered with it.
