AMSEC Price Check

Holy crap! I was looking at the Barrett Gun Safes by AMSEC. They look good as far as I can tell...but I cannot find what steel they use in the door and sides. Anyway, looking at the price list published on their website...over $8k for a 7250! Is that right, or MSRP, and actual price is more like $3500.00? Shit! You're into "real" safe costs at that price.
Please let me know if that is accurate, or what an actual price might be if different. Thanks.

The price you're seeing is probably MSRP, but I haven't looked it up. The safes are the same as the BF line, but badged with the Barrett name. They do have a slightly different interior.
You probably won't find it for half of the MSRP, 30% off would be a better guess. With something like this, you're paying for the BF safe, and then a premium for the Barrett name, and other goodies.

If I remember correctly, that safe was made at the request of Barrett to hold Barrett .50 BMG rifles. If you don't own a bunch of Barrett's, you may find that interior won't suit your needs as good as a standard gun safe interior.
