Subject title says it all. I have a front double door with a deadbolt lock and upper/lower pins securing the left side door to the top and bottom of the frame. It seems OK but I want more than what I have. The double doors open out due to hurricane code and the hinges are exposed to the outside, however they are anti drill and pinned on the inside to prevent defeating the doors that way. The doors are steel clad with solid wood cores BTW.
Steel bars that go from frame to frame through some heavy duty brackets comes to mind. Followed up by a hevy chain holding the two sides together. Is this for a shed or shop, or home application?
This will be for a home application so it has to look good and / or be discrete. The wife would kill me if it were something industrial / dark ages.

Try a portcullis
Actually, an outswing door isn't bad, it's harder to use a ram to open it. Maybe some brass surface bolts, top and bottom, both doors.
Oh, yeah, and since you mentioned "wife"......
You know the rules.
