Bunker Hill Safe - Tell me how bad this thing sucks

I may or may not have purchased a bunker hill executive digital safe when it was on sale for $250.

(chick not included). Seemed decent to hold my so far crappy gun collection (better than nothing which is what they were stored in). Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this safe, it does have 5 locking 3/4" steel bars (3 on the side and one each on bottom and top). Thanks for any input.

Anchor that puppy! Bolt it to the floor and/or the wall. There have been a number of breakins in which the entire safe was stolen!

I'm all for saving up for a good safe but for $250 bucks I can't give you a hard time. Although you may want to start a safe fund for when you collection grows and is worth something. It's worth the piece of mind.

I'll say two things:
1. The only thing I buy at Harbor Freight is things I expect to use and throw away WHEN they break.
2. It IS better than nothing.

Ok 3 things... it was down to $200 and had a 20% coupon on top of that.

Consider it as a security cabinet.

I have a safe that is similar in strength/quality. Over the years, 99% of all the posts I've seen where someone lost their gun(s), it was a "smash and grab" where thieves made a quick break-in to steal stuff. Your cabinet will prevent that. Later when you have the money and start to get more stuff, upgrade your safe.
