Used guns

Im in the process of getting my ffl. And im wondering, how do you get used guns to sell? Thanks guys.

Some distributors sell them, if you're looking for used overseas police guns, etc...
But for the most part, people walk into our store trying to get rid of their old crap. A shotgun here, a handgun there. It's really not hard once you get people into the store. The hard part is getting it to a price they'll accept that you'll be able to make enough money off to justify purchasing from them. Consignments are good as well, since you don't have to pay to put it in your shop.
Start off talking to your friends and family. Word of mouth, and you'll get people wanting to make a few bucks, esp in this period of time.

For us, people want to sell their guns, don't want to deal with GunBroker, don't have access to a decent in-state gun show, and don't want to try to sell FTF. We don't buy, but we will consign or trade.

If you're home based I'd think you wouldn't want too much stock on hand.

I dont mind having stock on hand. I have a safe for personal inventory and a safe sitting empty for store inventory. All this in a locked room and im getting an alarm system. Im not really too worried about it.

You can also hit the local estate auctions and bid against the morons who would tell you, you are too high in your asking price, but will spend 20% more the same gun at auction.
