Questions on individuals shipping Guns for service and getting them back
I know that a guy can ship his gun to a manufacture for service/repair and then the manufg can ship the gun right back to the owner. Does that apply to only the gun's original manufacturer or any one w/ a manufacture FFL?
What if said manufacturer is in the same state or even somewhat local? Can he ship the gun back to the customer or would the customer have to come to the FFL/Manufacturer to pick it up?
If one was to ship his gun to a dealer/smith FFL for work, can the non-manufacturer smith ship the gun back the customer's house or does the gun have to be shipped to a FFL local to the customer for pick up?

Any Gunsmith or MFG regardless of location or where he bought it. If you're sending the gun out for mods or repair it can come right back to the owner where it came from.
