So yesterday a guy comes into the shop i work at and was looking for directions to a dif gunshop in town.

I give him the directions and after he looks at our wall of rifles he says "hey i have somehting you guys might like" i say bring it on in.

He walks back in with 2 bullpup M1A rifles in a solid billet aluminum stock!!

So i tell him i would like to shoot it but we dont have a range at the shop but i have one at my house and would be off tomorrow if he wanted to come back and let me demo it he say OK no problem.

He comes to the house today man o man this stock it awesome!! It fixes everything that is wrong with the M1a from weigth and size to mounting optics to being able to field strip it without having to resight your rifle or having any tools.

I suggest you guys that are looking for something like thiis give this stock a look.

Thank god he had a few in his car to sell me one cause i did not want to wait on shipping lol.

Did you fire the one with the 3-point muzzle brake??

It looks bulky/heavy/awkward to me... but I also realize that looks can be very deceiving.

I'd love to try one out, of course.

How are the ergos for things like mag changes, locking the bolt back or chambering a round?
Does the trigger suck since it probably uses a connecting bar?
How probable is a bolt overide jam? Bolt overide == expended brass being caught above the bolt and between ejection port.

Some of us prefer not having a charging handle embedded into our jawbone when we pull the trigger, y'know.

I did not.

The ergos are great but like all things it takes some time and practice to get use to they also have a weak side charging handle coming out for it and it works great he had one on the demo rilfe and it is a great idea.
The trigger feels great not all mushie like most pups
Not sure on the bolt overide jam seems to be plenty of room between the 2.

I only fired about 100 rounds today but in the coming days/weeks i will get more trigger time on mine and can probly tell you alot more about its function.

Juggernaut Tactical will have one or two of these at the Bullpup Shoot for people to try out. Dino at Juggernaut told me they cut the stocks out of solid aluminum billets, I think the price was around a grand or so.

My Email;

Hi,
I was wondering (praying to God) that you maybe putting your craftsmanship to work designing a bulpup stock for a Ruger Mini 14/30. I am also hopeful that the price point will reflect the civilian market. I really would like to see it not cost as much as the rifle.
Thanks
JRC

His Response;
Hi JRC, Sorry it has taking me so long to get back with you. Yes we are planning on making a Mini 14.......It won't be for another 2years, it may be sooner..but that is our plan. We are doing a 10/22 ruger next, then mini 14, then saiga 12. then a mossberg 500 shotgun. All will be some sort of high end nylon/plastic composite and all will be affordable. (mini14 should come in around 450$ MSRP). All products will be of the highest quality just as the rest of our products. We will be at the bullpup convention in IL on Sept. 24th, we hope you come and shoot the ROGUE.......first 1000 rds. is on us!!!!! I hope to see you there, thanks.

I saw that go down on snipers hide, and it got twisted all up.

Was it a sales pitch? Maybe, but it started with pic's of his personal rifle, and then ya'll flew all over him. And it looks like he's calling you out with that email, instead of sniping from a keyboard.

Appropriate? no

But call me a SOB and watch what happens!

I read that post before it was altered.
This is the original text:

My personal sweetheart "Raquel"(Welch).........she shoots .25-.50moa with hand loads and .50 with premium store bought match ammo.
She is speced out to shoot 1000yds at has an overall length of 30.84" long. we have been getting really intimate lately.........I love her sooooo much.

PICTURE OF RAQUEL

RIFLE: m14 LRB forged receiver, USGI trigger(NM),Bolt etc... , Sadlak; Spring Guide, mag lock,Ti gas piston.Wolf power spring. Kreiger SS,Heavy wt., 1:10 twist, 4 groove....turned down to 20". J-tac JuggerBrake(muzzle brake).

OPTICS: PRIMARY, Nightforce NXS, 5.5x22x56, NP1-RR illuminated reticle, Speed turrets w/zero stop, Nightforce unimount with bubble ring and Angle cant Indicator.

I see no reason for the thread to get twisted up the way it was.
If he was advertising, he advertised every manufacturer used to build his rifle.

thanx!

ETA: I just read thru the original thread and to me Dino's post did not come off as an attempted advertisement like so many there accused him of. It seems as though he was just posting about his own rifle that had his stuff on it as well as a bunch of other brands that he named. They seem to be a bit sensitive to SPAM/Ad rules and was hard on him for really no reason.....tough crowd...I hope someone takes him up on his offer to shoot for money. Would like to be around to witness that....

I shot Dino's personal rifle and I will truly say it is one of the sweetest rifles I have ever handled. I would go as far as to call it perfect. Yes it is a bit on the heavy side, but it is 27" long and it apparantly shoots half inch groups. On the subject of weight, show me another rifle that is "worthy" of a NF 5.5-22x50 and let me know how much it weighs. I will own one of these very soon.

I did not get to shoot for groups, but from everything I have heard the accuracy is great on the rifle- my review was only on that which I tested firsthand.

FYI, I don't want to turn anyone off to the Rogue with my comment about weight - it is a very high quality product (the fit and finish are top notch) and I know they have already sold a ton of units and have a lot of happy customers. Anyone who buys one will be satisified I am sure.

I can assure you that is not the worst thing I've called him. I'm just not sure if I'm the only one of at least a dozen people who called him on his outrageous accuracy claims and backdoor sales attempt that gets email from him. I offered to take him up on his little shooting challenge when I could make it but he just continued talking crap in email. So just who is the keyboard commando?

Now, this psycho whackjob is continuing to email over a MONTH later. I would've just let this nut go on trying to sell his wares, but since he's made this personal, bring it on.

There is another thread authored by me on SH with his initial email and my response to his "challege". His "personal rifle" thread was locked by an admin for trying to sell over there. And he's an admin here, so you can ask his opinion.

I won't say this of you personally Sgt_P, but the rest of these guys in this thread are all little H2Omen, as in the plural of H2Oman, former forum member. And guess who has their own forum pitching how wonderful this stock is?

You all wish to jump to the defense of the national sales director of the same company his "personal" rifle happens to be stocked with. And I still see sub 1/2 MOA claims here. Keep the sales pitches going boys, you've got this bottle of M1A snake oil up to 1,500 bucks. Post some pics of targets, video, etc. Or else you're all just lying to sell product without being a paying vendor.

Mike,
I don't know you, but it seems you like to "call people out" that you don't even know (and/or products).
Thanks to the Bullpup Shoot, I personally met most of the posters in this thread, and I can assure you they are decent bullpup loving people. And most, if not all, at the Bullpup Shoot, got to shoot the Rogue and test it for themselves.
That being said, I own BullpupForum.com (if that's the forum you're refering to), and H2Oman is a member in good standing for the last few months.
I don't have any affilitation to him, or to Kushnapup, Bullpup Unlimited, Juggernaut Tactical, MSAR, Steyr, Kel-Tec, DTA, CBS, Intermedia Outdoors, etc, etc, etc. I am completely independant and I pride myself on looking at the positive side of this industy, which is needed in the niche that is Bullpup. That doesn't mean we can't be critical or realistic, but opinions must be based on fact. You can't just start attacking because you "think" something isn't kosher. And then to follow it around to another forum borders on liable.

Are folks trying to hype their products? yes! What do you think the internet is?!
You want to call BS on somebody's accuracy claims, do it! But don't bring a personal thing to thread from a guy showing off his new toy, just to continue your fight with Dino.
(FYI, Dino is a member of my site, and shared your email chain with me - you aint so innocent yourself...)

So let's stay level on this thread and congratulate SouthernRebel on his rifle stock, and get him to do a range report (with pictures!!!)

Well I don't know what it means to be "little H2Omen" as I tend to avoid drama but just because I called a thread for what it is IMO and it just so happens to differ from your opinion gives you no reason to get snippy....I based my opinion on the following:
1. I've met Dino and talked with him. Have you?
2. I've shot the bullpup and inspected it for myself. Have you?
3. I've read the original linked thread and saw IMO no flagrant promotion of his product per se, just someone proud of his own rifle that happened to have his conversion among other products that were on his rifle. Anyone would do the same. Just b/c he is affiliated with the conversion kit does that mean he has no right to post pics of his own personal rifle?
4. If you worked for a company that enabled you to enjoy the benefits of their products wouldn't you? Why should he be penalized for having his own product on his personal rifle? All it shows is that he stands behind it...I'd be more weary if he DID NOT have his own conversion kit on his own personal rifle.....
5. I have no affiliation with any vendors in this thread and no stake in this pissing match. What I do see is some pretty immature reactions to something that really isn't that big of a deal. And it has crept it's way from that forum to this one in this thread by guess who?....
6. What is ironic is he is being told to man up say sorry and move on but I don't see anyone taking responsibility for the harsh and immature way he was treated.....It's all too easy to pick on someone behind a keyboard, hiding in a frenzy of attacks by others, but I bet you'll learn to remember your manners when you are forced to socialize with folks in the flesh....
7. I do not know you, but you seem pretty comfortable generalizing and calling me and others who posted on this thread names just b/c their opinion is different from yours...

Actaully he told me that he did not think the other place would by and but they had set up a demo so he was going anyway.

We as a shop have not ordered any for the shop (waiting to let people see/use mine before commiting to a order) i bought this stock FOR ME because I liked it.

Sgt_P,

You're not even a paying member on this site. Wow, I'm sorry, what a terrible mistake this has all been. We're all just shooting"enthusiasts". Except you live in SC and go to IL for a bullpup shoot? There's no need for an email chain to be shared, your buddy initiated his pissing contest with me.

And no, I'm not referring to your forum, but thanks for letting me know your interest in this. I was talking about EBR SOPMODS.

Somewhere in all of this is a joke that should start with a national sales director, gunshop owner, and forum owner. I guess I'm the only "shooter" on here too poor to attend national events.

I'm sorry if this all interferes with your sales, internet traffic, etc. Really.

To all that asked about who H2Oman is. It doesn't take much of a search to turn him up. I have no beef with the guy. He was always spouting how great the M1A/M14 platform is. He was constantly accused of working for one company or another. According to a thread on this site, he's no longer welcome here. Possibly due getting into an argument with an actual veteran who said he didn't like the M14 in it's current role.

I'd be glad to share all my emails with anybody who asks for them. I'm not going to go into why "standing behind your product" should require you to be a vendor.

Keep playing the some guy posted his personal kit on a website and got jumped tune. Except there's an identical post to the one on SH over on M14forums right now. This is the last post I'll make to this thread. If you want to know something ask me directly.

NICE RIFLE! HOW'S IT SHOOT? HOW DO YOU LIKE IT? MORE PICTURES! RANGE REPORT?

Actually that is dinos rifle i snapped a few pics of it while he was at the house letting me demo.

I put my stock on a scom and got to wondering about the OAL and since it was just over 26 OAL i had to do some digging and find out about the perm flash hider. I was told since the socom muzzle break is perm attacted to the gas block and if you take the gas block off the rifle cannot be shot that the rifle is GTG as far as the 26'' OAL law.

So with that said i will take some pics of it and post them up.

This thing is VERY slick hardly no recoil you dont have to resight your rifle after taking it down to clean not tools needed to take down and with the weight of the rifle being at the rear you can work this rifle with one hand (if needed) Feels sooo much better than the stock M1A. I was kinda iffy about the looks but i always think function over form and since having it the looks have really grown on me.

I am about to get another rouge stock and build a rifle like the one dino has for alittl longer shooting.

Also this stick does NOT change the feel of your trigger however your trigger feels in a normal stock is how its gonna feel in the rouge.

Thank you for the reply... did anyone ever prove these accusations?

I understand some old timers resisting change and arguing against it, but that shouldn't get a person banned...

There were shooting enthusiasts (I prefer the term gun nut) at the Bullpup Shoot from California, Colorado, Texas, Minnesota, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, New Jersey, and probably a few that I missed. The fact that this event was free made it very affordable for everyone there.
