 GSG-522 Buffer question

As I haven't seen it addressed, I thought I'd ask.

I just ordered a GSG-522 SD model. I dont even have it yet, but I've already ordered the retro kit, screw upgrades, and HK pins.

Question is this:

Does the 522 still require the cocking tube buffer like the previous generations, or has this been addressed in the new 522's?

Thanks.

in reality you need to look at your cocking handle rod and see if it is making contact if so. Then you will need a buffer to stop it from doing so.
