I just picked up a GSG-5 used, but with no box, instructions, or accessories. .

Is there a way to tell when it was made?

Also, what all came with a GSG-5 when they were new other than the box and instructions?

thanks,
clay

I'm sure if you contacted ATI with your serial # they would let you know when it was made... Your warranty is 1 yr from when the rifle was registered.

Besides the manual...a tool kit to take the rifle apart, bore brush, sling loops and a bunch of different sized front sight posts came with the gun...that's all I can think of of the top of my head.

1st figure out if it's a Gen 1 or 2 (GSG-5 General sicky) or a 522. The Gen 1's were imported from fall of 07 to spring of 08 IIRC. The Gen 2's started arriving in about June of 08 and the 522's were after the lawsuit w/HK although some of those early 522's were mfgd as Gen 2 Gsg5 and parts were swapped with 522 parts b/4 distribution and then those Gsg5 parts were sold to a single distributor which in turn sold them as a retro kit. Now if it's an SD be sure to read the sticky about the ATF recall.

Hope it helps, don't claim to be an expert it's just what I can recall.
