Were any of the P versions shipped with stocks? Would seem to me that would be a SBR. However, a friend of mine has one he claims came that way from the factory. Currently has stock removed to be safe. I'm thinking the guy he bought it from likely added the stock (who knows if he had any idea he was making it into a SBR) and just didn't mention it.
If it is a pistol that someone put a rifle stock on it is an illegal SBR. unless it has at least a 16 inch barrel minimum and an overall even with a folded stock or telescoping no shorter than 26inches otherwise it is SBR unless the laws have been changed I haven't checked in a long time.
Someone may be able to update my info better but this is a good way to be safe for now.
Your friend is wrong, it didn't come that way. Either it was sold to him that way, or he put it on himself.
