I have a GSG-522 SD that I want to SBR and put a can on. I am not sure what can I am going to go with yet. Possibly a AAC or silencerco. What is the best way to go about this? 5p barrel with an adapter???
I was thinking about doing this to. I just can't stand that fake can of a barrel. What's required to do this?

Form 1 your rifle. Then form 4 a suppressor. $400 in tax stamps + the cost of the suppressor + the cost to cut and thread your barrel + 4 months wait time for tax stamp to come back.

Your only option with those is to thread the barrel. If I was you id SBR the gun and look into a "full sized" 22lr can. Somthing like a G5-22 or a thompson machine CHD. Either way your going to have to thread the barrel for a 22lr suppressor.
Depending on the price of cutting and threading your factory barrel, I'd go with the P barrel and thread adapter like the 3-lug etc. From what I know, the GSG barrel isnt thick enough to be threaded to 1/2x28. I may be wrong tho.
Is any one producing replacement threaded barrels? I saw the one in the other thread from gemtech but not on their website. I feel that the stock barrel may be to skinny to thread.

Submit Form 1 and engrave receiver.
Buy a P barrel from ATI (~ $50) then get a 3-lug "Navy" type 1/2-28 thread adapters from Gemtech or Swarfworks (~ $70). Most places charge more than $50 to thread a barrel including shipping / gas, taxes, etc.
