 What's the best knife for...

cutting up, and killing people?

I could have worded it a little different like, what's the best knife for self defense against an opposing threat, but its basically same.

Wanted Specs:

I got a ESEE 5 (thanks to this board) but it is a little cumbersome. I love it though.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It depends on your knife fighting style, a Krambit can rip and pull someones guts out, but a sharp narrow dagger can pierce deep through the heart etc. Different designs for different styles.

Ka-Bar TDI are decent deffensive blades.

A khukri by Himalayan Imports, pretty sure that could decapitate someone pretty fast!

You could alo approach it from the angle of what knife you like and finding an effective fighting system to match it.

IMO an ESEE is a working blade. You need a guard on a fighter.

A Glock 17 is the ideal knife for combat.

Ka-Bar? What style of knife fighting do you do? You do have extensive knife fighting training, right?

I would post a picture of a chainsaw, but you all already know what they look like.

Most "combat" knives are generally not used for combat. They are usually built to be used as field knives, open MRE's cut this or cut that, possibly be used for sentry removal, but not likely. The best knife in the world is useless if the BG's have bullets and you don't.

I had this chic that worked for me and one time her husband beat her up pretty good and sliced and diced his ass.
I renamed her as Ginsu.
Oh, well just throwing a little cutlery history into the mix.
