I have a WWII Jap Bayonet that I cannot ID the Arsenal Markings. It has the 4 balls with 3 half balls on the outside of the center ball but it has some markings next to the 4 balls that I cannot match up to any Arsenal Markings on the net. It has the Hooked Crossguard, contoured grip, Screw fasteners and birds head contoured pommel.

I am posting pictures and I can email pictures to anyone who wants them. Just send me your email.

I would also like to know the value. This is a Marine bring back.

Thank You!

Dane

That is the symbol for Koshikowa/Nagoya Arsenal.

Thank You!

Can you point me to a web site that shows this Koshikowa/Nagoya Arsenal marking.

What do you think the value is on this bayonet?

I have no idea of the value, I suggest you look at closed auctions on Gun Broker or Ebay.

Here is a response I got on the Military Collectors Fourm:
Nagoya has two smaller cicles inside it. This aint it. Koshikowa used it until 1935 and this is produced after that. Thus, Kokura.

Just realized that I typed the wrong arsenal name, but from the link I provided you would have seen that.

Thanks P08!

I was hoping to find documentation on the smaller Arsenal Mark that is next to the cannon balls. I can't find anything on that second mark.

My best guess would be a subcontractor for Kokura arsenal.
