Howdy,
I am looking at getting a 50 for hunting big game. I want some thing under 25 lbs that breaks down. I plan to transport it mainly via quad (in its pelican case) but I may strap it to my frame pack and huck it up a hill if I believe it to be a good spotting point. As of now I believe the Anzio Ironworks Lightweight Takedown Model (30 in) is what I am leaning towards. It is a bit pricey at $5700. Has anyone on here fired an Anzio? How would you rate its form & function? Are there any other options I should look at? Anyone know of a used one for sale? Then comes the question of scopes... I have only Leupold on all my other rifles should I stick with them or look at a Nightforce or something else? I will need it to collect lots of light because the game is most active in the early mornings and late evenings.
Thank you for your help.

I've been toying around with shooting a Grizzly with mine... just haven't been out for Spring Bear with it yet!

If I would have had one last fall on my moose hunt we would have harvested 2 more griz. Clear shots on both from 700 but by the time we closed the distance the wind had changed and they were running.
