Right now I have a Super Sniper 20 power on it and it has worked well. But now I would like to upgrade and I am thinking about NightForce. I would like to hear all your opinions about what scope you think would work best. What do you all have, brand, model, power, recticle, and etc. ? Thanks all!

Well I have to agree with your choice of a N.F. I have a benchrest model in 8X32X50 (I think it is a 50) and I am happy with it. Now I hear many others will pay more to get the NXS versions cause it has more adjustment range and the Parallax adjustment is on the scope left side about mid way. This is going to be easier to access for sure. And the extended adjustment range for elevation is going to be a plus. Now the difference is that the BR version is 1/8 MOA and NXS is 1/4 MOA elevation. Is this all worth about 600 dollars more? This is something you will have to weigh and answer.

I hear that if you shoot comp. I hear that you want to unfocus the parallax to read the mirage. This is suppose to be a hassle with the front parallax adjustment versus the side mounted adjustment of the NXS series.

NXS 5.5-22x56 High Speed Zero Stop MLR Mil/Mil

Very happy. I went with the MLR Retical and Mil/Mil turrets to match. I'm one of those guys who likes the metric system.

I have not used the Zero Stop feature yet.

+1 on the MLR

Came from the Super Sniper myself. I went with the Nightforce and I haven't looked back the glass is quite a bit clearer and the scope is built like a tank.

I have a SS20 on my 50 and a 308 that has the NF. No question that the NF is much clearer than the SS. However, would I upgrade? The answer depends on what kind of shooting you do. I am limited to 300 yards, and at that range the SS20X is fine for me.

I have the NXS 5.5-22x56 with the NPR2 reticle on mine. Nice scope.

I would also look at the Vortex Razor HD 5-20 for typically less than the NF NXS 5-22.

Nightforce, none better IMO. When I got my .50 AR-50 Nightforce was brand new on the market and nothing much was known of them. Most of the FCSA shooters were using Leupold done over by Premier Reticle so I went with a Leupold VXIII 8.5-25 but never got around to sending it off for work. It has been on there for a decade or darned close to it and has never missed a beat and I have been perfectly happy. IF it ever fails though, now that Nightforce has proven itself and is what most FCSA match shooters use, I will get a Nightforce also, but damned if I can justify the cost when the scope I have is working so well.

I put an illuminated recticle Nightforce Benchrest 12-42x56 scope on my AR-50.
(and just to brag -I bought it like-new-used for $750! )

I love it!

At 12X, it is just a bit more magnification than a 10X, which will work in most environments.
When you want to reach out, and mirrage isn't a problem, having up to 42X is really nice.

The Benchrest series has finer adjustments (1/8MOA),
allowing more precise changes at long range, that's a nice feature too.

The recticle I have is the NP-1RR. It works well and doesn't clutter up the view.

When I purchased my 50 BMG I went with the Nightforce NXS 8-32X56 and I love it. You pay for what you get but if you need to spend less I just picked up a Vortex Razor 8-22 X50 and put it on my Bushmaster Varminter. I'm pleased with it for a $450 scope.
