Minuteman USA .50 BMG ammo
Hi guys, It's finally getting warmer. So i've got a chance to go out to a friend place and shoot next weekend. I'm about to order some of these guys. Does anyone has any review on this ammo? Much thanks.

$2.66 a round seems really really high for any ammo, especially API.

Not sure if serious...
Never tried any of it, but I may get some soon.
Dead serious. That's about $1 more per round than I'd pay for it. Brass at about $.60 each, powder at $.60, API projectiles at $.40 each, primer at $.25 = no thanks at $2.66. Especially when you can buy decent ball ammo for ~$2 each or less. If you don't have a press to load it yourself you might want to consider it if $2.66 looks like a good price to you. The $180 Lee kit from Wideners would pay for itself in about 200 rounds.
Just some friendly advice.

Where do you get the projectiles from that are already resized? I would consider reloading when I have time.
Buy the lee 510 bullet sizer die. Its less than $20 as I recall. Just screw in and ram through a round . . . repeat as necessary. Easy as cake.

Without shopping around the first hit on gunbroker for "50 bmg bullets" are 500 resized and cleaned API projectiles for less than $.50 each. Or like Fister said a sizing die is cheap.
Innnnntresting. Thanks!

Widener's is pretty close at $2.25 a round. I found some other places that were closer to $2 after I bought a can of it but I don't remember where.
Edit: And I see Copes is exactly $2 for ball.
Edit 2: SGA is under $2 for ball.

Be careful about what is corrosive

, HOT (WW2)

, or berdan primed

one time use ammo.
Always read the fine print on cheap .50

I don't get too worked up over corrosive stuff. If I shoot it I just clean my rifle really well afterward. And I never buy Berdan stuff. That's just dumb. Wideners stuff is neither corrosive nor berdan.

Widner’s has 690gr FMJ projo’s that are new and don’t need re-sizing for .45 cents each

What's so bad about berdan primed? The fact it can't be reloaded? It's super cheap and good for plinking from time to time.

You got it. I've never seen berdan stuff at $1 a round which to me is all they're worth if I don't get some reloadable brass.
I have shot TW 43 corrosive ammo in the issue M107s at the Benning sniper school
As long as its cleaned it will be fine
