FN PBR XP
Just bought this rifle NIB, cases are sticking in the chamber after firing and also scratching the case. I called FN in MO they said to return 4 to 8 weeks turnaround time. I think that there is a burr or rough chamber that needs to be polished out. Would sending it in for them to look at and make the repair or just bring to local gunsmith. The shipping and insurance would be around $35.00 from NY to MO. Oh, the ammo was/is factory stuff. Just need some advice from you guy's. Thanks Nikkisdad
I'd sure as hell have the factory take care of a ~ $1200 rifle....on their dime!

YES, this.....I have one of these and it is so extremely accurate, you want it right. The shipping is probobably less than a local gun smithis gonna charge ya and really, which would you trust the most. Lets face it, the people that designed and built that weapon know it inside and out. I know first hand these are truely awsome rifles..
I think the both of you are right, back to FN to evaluate & repair. I am kinda disappointed, thought that quality control would have caught this. They said it would take at least four weeks turnaround time. I'll let you guy's know how turns out when I get it back...thanks...Manny
Good choice. As far as QC catching it....well, the industry is crazy right now and its no different than anything else, things slip through. Look at it this way, by the time the 4-8 weeks go by it will be spring time, better weather and you will have had time to reload or accumulate more ammo.

I would also call and ask them about a free shipping label....again, their mistake so they can pay to ship it for repair.
I shipped it this morning, didn't think of a free shipping label from them, they probably want to see it before making any determination. I am sorta/kinda disappointed, I never have had any problem with any rifle, pistol or shotgun ever - probably just lucky. It will be awile before I get it back and I have lot's of other guns to keep me busy, hopefully spring and the rifle will arrive soon then expected - yea right Upstate, NY is always fall winter time.....cabin fever starts soon...lol Thanks for the interest and advice....Manny
