We have a debate going at work. Assuming you fill out the necessary paperwork, is it possible to even buy one? Im sure they would be ridiculously expensive and I doubt they could be sold to civies.
Technically, yes. But you would also need an explosives license and the necessary storage facilities. And no company is ever going to sell you one due to liability reasons.

Read the orange book from the ATF. Its pretty cheap to get the "license" and go to the classes/qulification to handle the stuff, but the storage facilities needed are a bitch. If I ever retire I will get them and jump through the hoops to do so, but unless you have a place that has been qualified to store them, then you are nearly SOL.
