DD'ing a Spikes 37mm...

As I said in another thread, I was considering getting a Spikes 37mm Havoc...
And the more I read the more it makes sense to go ahead and do the DD registration if I were to get one.
Mostly because it would be fun (and much cheaper) to shoot 12 gauge out of one.
I see the Spikes aluminum adaptor for 12 gauge, are there any mods that would need to be made for one after I get the Havoc registered as a DD to fire like regular 3" 12 gauge shells? I have never seen a 12 gauge flare so I don't know what length they are or what length the chamber in the conversion is.

I think so.
Its only another $200 bucks to register it, so its a helluva lot cheaper than going the M203 route. And its not like 40mm has many advantages given you can't do H.E. anyway...

if your gonna DD a Havoc get the upgraded barrel. It will only cost you a little extra. I got the the 12 inch rail mount and kaos stock system. I dont have an AR15 to mount it to yet but i have the option to do so if i choose too. IHMO the best place to learn about 37/40mm launchers is GROG's 40mm site. He runs a damn good forum and people are friendly and will to help with any project.

all factory 37mm launcher muntions cs,cn,oc,bean bag, wood baton, sponge baton, etc. and if you reload it could be endless. Your only limits are common sense and your imagination.

You have to call Spikes Tactical and order it special. I ordered a 12" Havoc with a DD barrel with no markings except the spider logo for about $325 shipped. You dont need to get the upgraded barrel but for the few bucks it costs and the margin of safety you will gain why not.
