anyone have any experience with these? particularly the shivak 9 round, and the auto-weapons 10 round? is the auto-weapons adapter worth the extra cost?

thanks

I've got the version that autoweapons sells and I really like it. 10 rifled barrels and seems very well made. I got mine for $300 by posting a WTB ad on Grog's 40mm site. I believe it's made by Brian Fauci of Canal Side Guns (spelling may be totally off).

No 40mm owner should be without one of these.

I also have Brian Faucci's adapter, and did a review with photos. It's on the home site. I have not used Randy's yet, but as was posted, the rifled steel barrels seem to work very well, and I have heard of the non-lined ones going out of round when used heavily. GROG

Perhaps a dumb question, and forgive my ignorance but what is the practical application of this? I would imagine it would be similar to a shotgun but would be harder to aim I would think.

The practical application is fun at the range. Frankly, that's the only application of any of my 40mm stuff.

Same application as 90% of the firearms I own.

tactically,
I would be similar to a load of 00 buck I guess. Maybe would pattern better at range??? Seems like it may be hard to reload. Not really worth the trouble for tactical reasons, but for fun...
