So i'm impressed.
I've got a Lee Enfield "Jungle Carbine" (a converted 4, not a "real" 5) and i haven't had the chance to shoot it till yesterday.
went out, set it up on the bipod, lined up, loaded some Sellier and Bellot .303...
*crack* work the bolt
*crack* work the bolt
*crack* work the bolt...etc
1-1.5inch group at ~150-175 yards.
I... I think my enfield shoots MOA, I'm kind of... scared? not the word... i didn't think it could be done, much less with a two groove barrel.
Congrats on getting the converted 4. The 5 has cuts on the receiver to lighten it, which didn't aid its accuracy. Nice to know S&B is that good - have some to run out of a Mosin soon.

S&B is the single best ammo you can get out of europe
If you're lucky, some No.5s are quite accurate. I've seen some excellent shooting done with one at 300yds. We mark the targets by scoring zone, but it must have been shooting around 3" inch groups to consistently hit where it did.

Some of them shoot better with Privi. S&B doesn't have particularly good brass for reloading, if that's a concern. Norma did make (and maybe they still do) .303 British, and they're a very high quality manufacturer.
That's better accuracy than I get with my real no5

Are you talking for .303? I have no experience there, but, if you are speaking for other calibers, I heartily disagree. Prvi is better stuff, IMO. Good brass, burns cleanly, and is very accurate. Of course, there's Norma and Lapua, but those are typically beyond the price range of most. I've shot a bunch of S&B 7.92mm Mauser from different lots in a FN49 and a couple Mausers, and I have to say that the brass is shit for reloading.
Anyway, back on topic, I'm glad to here it shoots well. I've never been a huge Lee-Enfield fan, but they are fun to shoot. Glad you got a good one, converted or not.

eh, i'm just talking purely from a firing perspective, i don't reload so i don't care about that.
stuff is accurate, clean, and the fit and finish of each round is superb.
My real-deal no.5 mk1 shoots about 1.5-2MOA with Wolf Gold 150 SP ammo. 3-4" 5-shot groups at 200yd.
It did, however, spend some time in Singapore and it shows, lots of pitting on the exterior, and a fairly dark bore.
They still the no. 5 converison kit available?

Where I'm from S&B is barely considered safe, due to a number of mishaps with overpressure rounds.
Have you tried Norma or Lapua? S&B is a poor, tasteless joke in comparison.
How many rounds did you fire per group?
