NO idea what this free float rail goas to. Anybody??????

Put this in GD too....but some people don't hang out there.
I get stuff to trade and sell all the time and sometimes I get something that no one knows what it is. I got this free float HG and have no clue who makes it or what it goes to. It's aluminum and has no markings on it. Any ideas? Thanks!
ETA - It is 15" overall. The rails are attached with hex screws and the "star" bit screws.

At 15", it's too long for an AK or SKS. My bet is the insert @ the scalloped rear fits into a military rear sight on a milsurp bbl. Someone figured out how to hang crap off their Mauser - or Mosin. I might be very much wrong - keep us posted as to what you find out.

The guys in GD say its a TAC-MOD Chassis handguard for a Remington 700.
