Mossberg MVP question
My buddy just bought one of these and posed an interesting question to me, which I can't answer with a definite yes or no, so I'm posting it here to find out for sure. My buddy wants to have the ability to swap barrels on his rifle between the factory barrel (.223 Rem) and an aftermarket barrel in .300 AAC Blackout(since they have the same base and overall length). Is there a way he can do this, I know with the new barrel he will have to get the headspace set but what else would he need to have done?
Doesn't look like it has interchangeable barrels such as the Savage system. There are some custom smiths that do things like what he's wanting, I don't recall who they are, but I do recall that the price is steep.
I figured as much, as i'm sure he has as well. I definitely like the idea he has, and depending on the price wouldn't mind it myself.
