Any Keltec RFB Torture tests?
Has anyone seen a torture test for the RFB? Not sure I want to buy one until I get better feedback other than just range time.
What kind of torture did you have in mind?
multiple rounds, water, ice, mud...etc
just like most of the others have been through
just to see what fails and if its worth the money
I wonder what happens when the ejection port gets covered in mud or dirt...will it fail toeject a round???
I would buy one but all of my weapons have been proven in the field and torture tested

Buy one and do a torture test.
The cost of gun and ammo would be terribly expensive, probably why you have not seen one yet.
What guns do you have that are torture tested?
I don't think debris in the port would stop it from ejecting. It gets filled with debris (in the form of spent casings) under normal use and it can still shove all of them out at once when it fills up and shoves another one in the tube.
I'd be more concerned with long term parts wear and breakage than things like dirt tolerance.

Exactly. That's the reason I decided to sell mine, but will be picking up another when money is available.

But, thanks for the useless post.

guess not
I cant find anything on one being done but yet so many would trust their lives to one
I'll stick with my FAL
MY Buddy bought a RFB and Preordered the KSG . The first time we were shooting it the extractor was not functioning properly and the gun kept jamming . We got about 200 - 300 rds threw it before he had to bring it back to KELTEC . Keltec polished some parts replaced the extractor and we havent got too shoot it yet but keltec said they tested it . so we will see what happens .
I had feed issues after about 800 rounds of Radway 7.62. I was all covered with some wax stuff that was gumming up the bolt rails and extractors, but it ran fine after I wiped it down.
Ive had nothing besides that. I am quite pleased with mine.

I generally dont like to buy something not tested or at least I like for it to be out for a few years
prices come down and improvements are made

Find one to buy at a reasonable price of 1300-1450.00 is a problem.
It is a range toy. Never designed for the military or law enforcement.
KelTec never prototyped a select fire version of the RFB. That would be tits and probably answer your durability questions.
They do have a select fire version of the PMR 30.
One thing that stinks is that you can't do a chamber check. You can't immediately access the chamber.

I don't know why everyone says this you can do a chamber check. Pull CH back, lock bolt in place, and feel in the chamber through the magazine well.

Hardly. Just pull the mag, lock the bolt back, and look in the chamber. You can even partially retract the bolt to make sure there is a round chambered.
I would like to see some sort of a loaded chamber indicator that most handguns have though. It wouldn't be for confirming a empty chamber, but would give an indication that there is a round in there.
not battle tested and lots of hype
I guess its a range toy not battle rifle
i that case I'll stick with my Para FAL

I could be wrong as is frequently the case, but I recall seeing a full auto prototype being tested in an indoor range a couple years back.
It may be a "range toy" now...but give Kel -Tec a couple years to work out the bugs...they are quickly becoming one of my favorite manufacturers, their PM30 is an awesome pistol. Good customer service. The basic action on the bullpup is similar to an FAL, is it not?
