I had an appointment on the far north end of town today...lo and behold, I was ten minutes from Robar (and not far from Dillion Precision, too).

I had my G19 early gen 3 with matte finish with me, so I said what the hell...why not. I stripped it in the car and took the slide in. I picked NP3. A rather attractive young lady helped fulfill my order. You know who you are...you have my email and cell number. Don't be shy.

Unfortunately she told me the wait would be about 8 weeks. So in two months I will update this thread with my sexified G19. In the meantime, you post your Robarized guns and experiences here.

Going for this look:

Same experience here x3, except with 92s/9mms.

These were all PD guns before I got them, and they've seen a lot of use here since. I have been VERY impressed with the durability and slickness of NP3 over the years and still plan to have some others of mine done up by them in the future.

Someone here (I don't recall who right now) has a beautiful NP3'd H&K P7... maybe he'll see the thread.

My bud DualShooter has a P7 that he was going to Cerakote. I'm trying to get him to save his samolians and go robar.

Here is a before (Day 1 after purchase) and an after (Roguard and NP3+) of my Kimber Pro CPD II. My Kimpro Front Grip stipling looked mottled; the finish sucked. It was less than a year old and looked horrible. I have seen NIB at Dealers that also looked suspect. What's up Kimber? It shot great, which is why I bought it, but seriously, this 1911's finish lasted 1 year with a gimp running the pistol!!! Gimme a break. So, a buddy recommended Robar in Phoenix, AZ for me to have them fix the finish and really extend the longevity of the pistol. The barrel looks great, too. Darker overall, like the magwell. Sorry about my lighting.

Front grip stipling:

The staff at Robar Guns, well, those ladies are shooters, too, and know their guns! I asked them to have their Gunsmith check out out my slide and trigger and for them to repair anything as may be necessary. It needed nothing more than Roguard on everything Black and NP3+ on all Silver components that you see (finish is 100% uniform) and NP3+ on all internals (barrel, 2 mags, etc.). The 'idiot scratch' on my slide release (other side) is gone, too, thank you, Lord!
It cost $85.00 to ship overnight to Robar; with all the work done and their cost of re-shipping back to my front door, the bill was $369.00. That took the cost of my "Super CPD II," to about $1750, but it feels like the Ed Brown I wanted and still cost about $500.00 less and it's exactly as I like it. So, all in all, not a bad deal.
I haven't gotten to the range yet, but slide rack is great and trigger is crisp. I received excellent work and excellent Customer Service. I spoke to the ladies there 3 times over appx. 7 weeks and they were very friendly and offered great advice about the finishes. Will definitely use Robar Guns again. Happy Shooting!

Got it back today. Wasn't quite the 8 weeks originally quoted. I like it. I'll see how it hols out for awhile and if it goes like I expect, I'll take my P7 there to get pimped.

They are definitely not the low cost option, but were running a 15% off promo last month...that I found out about this morning. Had I known that, I probably would have had something else done too...like the P7.

I plated my P7 myself in nickel boron and it made me fall in love with it all over again:

I think I would need to find wood grips if I do it.

What holster is that?

Yeah, I have a set of wood grips for it but when I was reinstalling them the broke that back piece off one of them. The holster is a TT Gunleather.
