Best finish/coating to protect AR lower

Doing a couple of builds and I'm looking for a finish/coating that will protect my lower from corrosion and help em stand up to hard use.

A couple years back I had a couple of lowers cerakoted and I was not impressed. After working the action/ charging handle a half dozen times, it sliced through the cerakoting to bare metal (and a lot). Not exactly confidence inspiring. One of the receivers later got pitting. ????? Kept in the safe, cool and dry.

What other finishes/coatings are available for my needs?

Something wrong with the milspec anodizing?

Something like Moly Resin over the anodizing would just add more protection.

If you're building 80% receivers or something and not anodizing them, nothing else is going to help you all that much.

We only use CeraKote, GunKote, and DuraCoat. I did some pretty extreme testing on each of them before we started applying them. Each has their strength and weakness. So I cant make an informed judgement on other coatings. Any of the thermal coatings will give you a great looking long lasting finish.
