The NORD is a collection of parts and things from the shop drawers.
-two tapered handguard pic rails
-one flat acessory rail.
-Stedi-stock
-Envis M703E with Larue LT114 mount
-Cannon camcorder with PVS14 weapon mount.
-3X magnifier
The stedi-stock can be replaced with a tripod. Alignment is a little off, but it is a compromise so that two different cameras will work.
So, what to do on a cold wet windy morning at 0400? Try out the NORD while sighting in the Raptor.
These are recorded with no magnification, no supplemental illumination, 23% moon, tripod mounted.
Shhoing bench 1
Shooting Bench 2
This one is with steadi-stock and 3X magnifier. Buck is 250-300 yds.
Buck
Edited: corrected name of steadi-stock
Nice job. It must of been pretty dark in the Buck video. You can see that Envis struggling for all the light it can get. Classic example of how magnification degrades an image. Great setup !
Very very nice and the alignment is uncanny. Good work.
Though do you flip out the screen to see or does it have an eyepiece viewfinder?
I find that flipping a screen out splashes light all over me so am building a small covered eyepiece for such work.
But that is excellent... I really like it.

David, yes I flp out the eye piece. I thought of filtering the screen but the resolution is so bad that focusing the Envis by viewing the screen is very hard as it is. I'd like to see your set up.
I thought about adding a filtered red laser visabe with helment NOD so viewing the screen would not be necessary to stay on moving target. I hope to record some hog hunting.
I cheated on the Camcorder alignment by drilling a mounting hole centerline of the PVS weapon mount. The uncanny one was the Kodak still camera that aligned almost perfect using the original thumb screw on the mount.
