Do SWD M11-a1's have the same lower as SWD M11/9s?
Trying to figure out if I'll be able to use swd M11/9 mags in an swd M11-a1 after putting a lage 9mm upper on it.
This will be my first and probably only MG purchase, so I want to not fuck it up and get the wrong thing.
I do not think so.
The A1 is smaller

The guys on uzitalk would be a better help then I
I have mac 10/nine with an uzi conversion and Mac 11 coming
The A1 is smaller. Not sure how the magwells differ.
Yeah, from studying pics, it looks like the SWD m11/9 lower reciever is longer than the SWD m11-a1 lower receiver.
But... Lage makes an upper in 9mm for the M11-a1. So it's got to accept SOME kind of 9mm mag, right?
Every time I email a guy who's got anything listed, it turns out it's SPF and they just neglected to update their ad.
Jeebus this is annoying.

I feel your pain here, had the same thing happen to me when I was looking to buy. Ended up putting a WTB ad up on Sturm and someone contacted me with a great deal, so I can't recommend that method enough to others.

MAC novice here, but...It depends who made it. I'm pretty sure the later SWD made M11A1 has the same mag well as the M11/9 to allow for zytel mags. The earlier RPB made M11A1 has a smaller mag well made for metal mags.
This should be the reason that the Lage accessories are specified to work on an SWD gun.

Took your advice... and got a reply by email exactly 20 minutes later from a dealer.

pretty sure this is right, came across a RPB gun for $2500 and got excited thinking it would take a Lage 9mm and run M11 9mm mags, was not the case. The RPB guns require expensive mags and are 380 only.
They also run insane fast, even by MAC standards.

this is correct swd m11a1 has same mag well , RPB m11a1 does not
just like the swd m10/9 is the same as the swd m11/9
