I wish how quick they cash the check was a true inication of how fast they work to approve Form 4's

I hear you....my check for a suppressor was cashed in July, a week after I sent my paperwork in....STILL waiting. Now I hear rumbling from the congress critters about a Gov't shutdown......
I sent in a Form 1 for an SBR in November....check was cashed within a week. They definitely have the "take the subjects money" thing down pat. If the BATFE was a business, they would be brought up on mail fraud charges.

The ATF does exactly same thing that the IRS does –– they strip off the check and cash it as the very first step in the process. The fact that your check has been cashed is an indicator of nothing except that the application has been received.

Yup, my F4 for my first suppressor was mailed the 5th, they received it the 9th, and it cleared my bank the 12th. Electronically, as did the F4 I filed earlier this year.
Wham, bam, thank you ma'am. Now, shut up and wait.
Of course, my F4 from earlier this year went 58 days door to door, I'm not so optimistic about this one.

YHM suppressor .22 LRI think its 5-6 months since the PENDING DATE, the check cashing goes on in Atlanta, the Examiners are in West Virgina.
I am at 130 days (4.6 months) from pending on a can.
And 2 days and 7 days pending a few MGs.

Yeah, that's the current estimate.
Pending since 10/4 on a can and since 11/something on an SBR.
