That company sells the entire weapon. Is there a company that just sells the mount

I think there was a thread about this in the NFA section not long ago. I think the end result was "NO"––-knight was the only one. I THINK it was concluded that any such weapon would also be an AOW or SBS. Well unless you wanted a 18" shotgun mounted to your AR. Again just from memory.

As has already been stated, you would run into issues with the fact that it has 1) a barrel shorter than 16" and 2) a butt-stock. You could always get a stamp for one though.

Scroll down, it's near the bottom of the page!

Obviously as others have already pointed out, it's not quite as easy as just installing a mount... you're gonna have to register your shotgun as an SBS or AOW so you can legally mount it on your rifle!

It has to be registered as an SBS (like the Knight's Masterkey is). It cannot be an AOW. The AOW 870's do not have a buttstock which is why there are registered as AOW's and not SBS's. If you attach an AOW 870 to an AR it now has a buttstock (the AR's) and would now be an unregistered SBS.

That is correct.

So it is legal if the shotgun is an 18 in barrel?

Yes, it would be legal with an 18" barrel.

While the shotgun mounted under an AR looks cool in the movies and games, it makes the entire weapon heavy and hard to handle, so make sure you absolutley want this before going to the trouble to make one.

that is exactly it. I would prefer to buy just a mount if I can find one, but I have been trying different methods to attach it. But nothing has worked yet.

I think it was a movie prop. Think the recoil of a 12 gauge would tear up a plastic hand guard.

The cheapest way to mount a shotgun to a an AR...

The AR would have to have a aluminum 4 rail hand guard.
The shotgun would need a Pictony scope base on the top of the receiver.

Buy a Leupold CQ/T scope mount and mount the shotgun scope base to the bottom of the 4 rail hand guard of the AR.
