left my TC Omega loaded for a year, safe to shoot?
After the December ML season last year I left my Omega charged (of course I removed the primer). Would it be safe to shoot or should or should I remove the load? If it matters the powder is pyrodex pellets.

Should be able to remove the breech plug, dump out the powder and push the bullet back out with the ram rod.
I would think if you tried to shoot it the worst you would get is a hang fire or misfire.
I think you'll be ok. I don't know if I would hunt that load, just in case. Take it to the range, put a cap on it and pull the trigger. Ff it fires, magic, you've just verified your scope isn't off. lol
Black Powder can become unstable. we had a neighbor that left his muzzle loader loaded for a little over a year. I volunteered to fire it. I put my safety glasses on and pulled the trigger. It blew the nipple out and sliced my forehead open.
Your results may vary.
Shit, well that has me convinced. There is a one day only doe hunt tomorrow that I will be going on and was only invited today. So there is no time to check zeros or anything. Last fall it was dead nuts though. I'll remove the load and put in fresh stuff.
What about pellets stored in the original pyrodex tupperware? Those should be fine, right? Or should you buy new pellets each season?
Thanks guys

Pellets or powder stored in a waterproof container will be fine.
Got a big doe this weekend with the Omega. Used a 250 grain ShockWave with 2 pellets. Doe was appox. 75 yards away and ran maybe another 75. The hole you see there is the exit.

How pitted is your breech plug and or barrel?
It wasn't pitted at all. I'm no chemist but I thought you didn't have to worry about corrosion until after you fired.

That may be right and why your barrel was not pitted. I hated having to worry about cleaning after every shot before i switched to smokeless. I left my old Win. X150 for 2 weeks before cleaning after only 1 shot and it looked like a sewer pipe.

Did you get a savage? I was thinking of trying to find one. Not sure how hard that would be now that they are discontinued.
