TC Blackdiamond optics
Guys looking for a new scope for my TC Black Diamond. I really like the looks of the ultimate slam Leupold with SABR Reticle. Does anyone know how it would work with 2 American Pioneer Pellets and a Hornady SST 250gr?
It's a good shooter with full bore copper conicals,so the SST should work great. Sabots are a bit unpredictable in mine, but I was mostly using cheaper ones.
The rifling is thin and fast,so lead conicals and round ball should be driven a bit slower (if you ever even use them).
Be advised that the BD will tear up the bottom of your scope due to primer/cap residue. Don't expect the finish to stay very pretty.
As with any muzzleloader, get something with great eye relief.
I've currently got a cheaper scope on mine right now (trying to kill it),but may upgrade to a Nikon Omega one of these days.
If you need a weaver mount for your BD,let me know. I have two extra sets for some odd reason.
I understand the bottom getting messy, not really worried about that, also thinking of getting the TC Scope protector.( Its cheap and worth a shot.) That load shoots incredibly well out of my rifle.
Worry more about the mounts.
Scope will be fine, but buy quality mounts.
