lubed wool wads how are they used
Hello before I head out to the pistol range with my black powder pistol. I have a ? on the lubed wool wads.
Not to sure where to place the wad in the pistol.

It's placed under the ball. It serves two purposes, mainly it can help scrape out fouling, it can also help prevent chain fires from occuring. For the latter you could also just use lard over the balls after you've loaded them, but that gets kind of messy.
