Newb question about leaving load in a BP

Went hunting the other day and didn't get anything so my BP is still loaded. Will be going out again this week, I took out the 209 primer but left the powder and bullet in the barrel.

Is this ok, could I have problems if I leave it in? It is an inline with removable breech so I could take out the plug and unload that way, but it would be so much easier to just leave it in there till the next time I hunt.

TIA.

As long as it didn't get any moisture in the barrel, it should be fine. I will leave mine loaded (minus cap or 209) during the week, with no problem. I will also put a piece of tape across the muzzle, to make sure moisture doesn't get in there. I usually won't leave it loaded for more than a week, though, but that is just me.

As long as you didnt get it too damp you should be good to go. Also, I would avoid bringing the firearm inside the house if you can. If you see condensation appear on the outside you will be getting some moisture inside. I have left muzzleloaders loaded from the fall season and not shot them till spring. They have gone bang every time. If I have been out in heavy rain or snow I will probably unload it and clean it every day.
