Identification/Valuation of some old rifles and one revolver

All these model numbers are by stampings, not my expertise. All firearms are of uncertain caliber.

At the top is a French Mod1892

Next is a French Mle1886

Third down, from my other thread is what might be a sporterized Spanish Mauser. I will post the receiver shot again here. See in the next post.

Fourth down is a Quality HMC M1 carbine in a partially sporterized condition. It comes with that stock, the folding stock below it and 22 boxes of ammo as seen on the left. Has a Rock Ola barrel.

The revolver is a French Mle 1892 revolver.

Some questions.

On the M1 carbine. I am considering keeping it but seems that I will need a rear and front sight, top handguard and barrel band.
What would the value be as is with both stocks and ammo vs with the sight, handguard, etc?

Any idea as to the identity of the third rifle down? Others have suggested a sporterized Spanish M48.

Ballpark value on any of the firearms?

Some questions.

The French Mle 1892 Artillery Carbine looks like the typical post WWI rebuild. No cleaning rod, stacking hook on the end. If it's matching it'll be worth more, but I doubt it is, so that's gonna be $200, 250 tops.
The Lebel is worth serious money. That one appears to be in very, very nice shape.

Both of those are 8x50R Lebel.

Someone has a lot to answer for concerning that M1 carbine.

The person who purchased all of these apparently had the intention of restoring them, but passed away before he could.

Mle1892 has a hook under/side of the barrel. No cleaning rod that I can see... Actually no Place to put a cleaning rod.

Numbers are NOT matching, atleast between bolt and receiver.

Mle1886 is not matching but has no importation marks.

$175-200 is about right for the M1892 then.

I haven't looked at Lebel prices too hard lately but they're a lot higher than they used to be. A nice mismatched example could probably still pull $500.

Bear in mind that the Lebels aren't safe to shoot with modern spitzer ammo. They have a tubular magazine and the risk of the bullet setting off the round in front of it in the tube is very real. French military 8x50 had slightly recessed primers to prevent this. Nobody makes Lebel-safe 8x50R any more, so it's either a single shot or you need to handload with RN bullets.

Has no plan to shoot them.

Will be selling them soon to help my friend's widow.

The mystery Mauser receiver is a Spanish Air Force M43.

Mis-Matched bolts on the 92 Musketoon and 1886/93 Lebel hurt but it is fairly norm for them. Value..agree with given estimates.

The Mle1892 revolver $400-500, prices have gone up prettygood on them the last few years esp for really nice examples.

Okay. On the M43 Mauser.

It has definately been rebarreled, with a heavy target barrel. And re-stocked. The new stock seems MADE for the Mauser and had the heavy barrel in mind. The stock buttplate is marked "BISHOP"

Is is DEFINATELY NOT chambered in 7.92mm anymore. I put a .30 slug point down into the muzzle and it stuck not even half way... so it's smaller than a .30. I lightly took my micrometers to it and am getting about .226" or there abouts at the muzzle.

I have no idea how to try and figure out which caliber this is.

The trigger.... OMFG.... there is almost zero travel... with only a few pounds of pull... I'd guess that someone wanted to make this into a target rifle.

Ideas?

Also, anyone have any ideas on the M1 Carbine?

Having the chamber cast is the only way to know for sure.

The M1886 could be worth anywhere from $400-$800 depending on a few factors. The M1892 revolver, $300-$600, again depending on certain factors.

Not sure about the sporterized Mauser. I'd personally consider the M1 carbine to be a write off. It looks rather far gone IMO. Shame really.

ETA: OP, if you wouldn't mind, could you snap a few detatiled pics of the M1886?

Why would you call the Carbine a write off?

I know my picture isn't good, but I'd think a new front and rear site, plus a new top hand guard and it would be a nice piece.... Not museum or collector grade, but valueable to someone who just wants a Wartime Carbine or needs parts.

As for the 1886, what would you like pictures of? Will have to wait until tonight( at work now)

Going to the Washington County gun show in Washington, PA tomorrow. Any idea on what I should ask for the carbine (ammo and extra stock included)

If the carbine ammo is marked LC-52 usually in blue it is Chinese ammo
