Did Mauser make a 98K for China?
Was at a gun show last night and was looking at a 98K, it had a Mauser stamp on top of the receiver, but I could not make out any other markings. The dealer said he thought it was a 98K made for the Chinese. Anyone have any information on this?
Thank you
Not trying to be a dick, but did you even do a search? If you had (or missed this)

Yeah, I did a google search, and searched the forums. It had the normal Mauser logo stamped on the receiver, however, I could not make out any other markings, it had the turned down bolt, and looked just like a normal 98k, except for the markings.
Yes, they did. However, be aware that the Chinese also made their own, right down to the Mauser banner logo. Comparing the two, side by side, it's obvious. But, to the unknowing, it could be deceiving.

Thank you,
This gun was in decent overall shape, can they be a shooter, or better off to leave it. Gun was tagged at $375.00

it totally depends on the condition of the rifle, most of the Chinese rifles are not fit to fire due to the bore being shot out of severe rust and pitting on the metal or cracked stocks

+1
If it's actually German and in G-VG condition, it might be worth the price. If it's Chinese made, or in typical Chinese condition, that's pretty high.
I paid $150 for my Chiang type 24 a few years ago that is in good shape. It's a chinese built and have yet to shoot it. Rather leave it in the cabinet and shooting something I have more confidence in .
