Mauser Crest ID Pic now fixed

Looking at picking of an 8mm Mauser. The receiver is marked Mod 98 on one side, and there is a prominent crest on the top:

Without the photo, this is a WAG, but I'm betting it's probably Yugoslavian.

Yugoslavia . It is a k98 capture.

Ok, I think its a yugo. 7.62 barrel aint gonna fit then.

It looks like a German made K98 that was in Yugoslavia after the war. The Yugos scrubbed the German markings and added their crest.

Yugo capture K98. Receiver scrubbed, as with most parts, and normally they have a brand new barrel installed also. Great shooters

If you are talking those barrels from Norway it should. that rifle is different than the m48.
