Trying to figure who made this one, any help would be fantastic. At first I thought repo but there is no way. The leather and metal show a lot of age. The inside of the scabbard is really old. At one time this was painted OD green. Not sure if the military ever did this. I know it is a pattern 2 scabbard. I scraped a little of the paint on the metal hoping to find a symbol but I didn't see one. I received it with a great 1917 bayo. The guy I purchased it from originally received this he purchased a WWII trench gun. Did the US refinish scabbards? Here are the pics. Any and all help would be great!

try the militaria forum over on gunboards, they may now,

I have a simialr bayonet/scabbard, but mine has the original leather /blackened metal, not green painted,

may have been done by US, or maybe by a school? no idea
