Anyone have a good idea of where to get a couple stripper clips for the Mosin? I'm looking for around 20 or so that are of decent quality.

Cheapest place I have seen is MilSurpStuff. 5 for 3.99, but I cant speak for quality. I am kicking myself for not buying a crate of ammo on stripper clips when AIM had them about a year ago

Bought some from Numrich awhile back. They work just fine. http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Detail.aspx?pid=292270A&catid=3258

I bought some of the milsurp clips and they were way to tight, after a couple of dozen times running shells through they were still to tight. I took the clips out to the garage with a handful of empty shell cases in the clips. This is important "do not use live rounds" just empty shell cases, after placing the empties in the 5 clips I heated them up and down evenly for about 10 sec you don't want a blue tint on the metal I air cooled afterwards on a damp cloth. This did loosen up the clips they are not too loose and work very well now.Not perfect but it worked for me.

My suggestion is to look for some of the Polish surplus that was available a while ago that came on them.

They are military clips and work great.

I never liked those and it always seemed the rims on the cases got overlapped the wrong way and wouldn't load properly. I see why the Russians put the trapdoor on the mag well because you always seem to need it to pop it open and close it to fix them.

Most of mine came on the Bulgarian ammo from the 1950s that I bought. Blued steel coated in cosomoline.

I also bought 9 ChiCom ones from someone on the old battle rifles forum many years ago, when I first got my Mosin-Nagant.
