I have a Savage Model 99 DL Series "A" rifle I inherited from my Dad.

Was curious on what the value would be? I would never sell it, just curious

As best I can determine, it was made in 1950, but nothing else

It is in .308 caliber

I have no idea how much it is worth cash value. Obviously priceless in personal value. I had an opportunity to work with one years ago in .300 Savage and really liked that rifle. They are a lot like old style lever guns but in more ballistically efficient calibers. Plus they are pretty accurate.

Very nice rifle.

That's a very late model rifle. The checking is pressed, the hump-back monte-carlo style buttstock, the serial# is a letter-prefix and it's on the side of the receiver instead of under... I'd place it in the 70-80's.

For a .308 I would guess $400 +/-.
