Looking for "Civilian" Sea Bag equivalent ...

Headed overseas again. I'm allowed to bring two sea bags of stuff (I'm assuming one will be issued gear (lame) and one will be personal).

I hate sea bags. I want something that doesn't scream "MILITARY!!!". Does anyone have suggestions for a civilian sea bag equivalent? I want something durable but isn't TAD gear expensive.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

If you have an REI nearby, check out their duffle bags. Various sizes and colors available, and folds into a tidy package when not in use. I have one I use to hold my backpack when I check it in as luggage, and it's holding up well.

Look at the Eagle Sigma II. I have the regular Sigma but it only comes in multicam, version two comes in different colors.

Got some advice from another board and picked up 2x MEC Odyssey Duffle Bag

They don't look "PMC" at all and the reviews were all positive.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Hawkepaks (call or email for custom touches)

AWS INC They carry military style packs but the black roller bag may be the ticket.

Even when I did the seabag drag, I hated those fucking things. A zipper down the size gives you more access to anything in the bag, and it is easier to load. The large zipper duffels are great for sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, pads, air mattress, etc. All of that bulky camping shit is easier to load in your truck and bug out if it is in one big bag.

Get the heaviest denier cordura nylon with the best zipper you can find. The right product will last a lifetime. I have two that are over 20 years old, probably no longer in production.

I've yet to see a seabag/duffel fail.. and they are $12.. at a certain point the way it appears to people needs to not matter versus the price. I'm never going to be excited about spending $120+ on a "kit bag" with zippers in cool colors when the USGI duffels have served millions of dudes perfectly for decades.
