Camelbak hose and insulation

I took the insulation off of my camelbak hose and now it's almost impossible to get back on. Any tips?

Wet the insulation with hot water. It should hear it up enough to help move it through. It also might help to roll the insulation to where the inside is out so you can roll it on. ( think of a condom)

That worked, thank you. I thought getting it wet would make it more difficult.
