I've got a Remington 1100 LT-20 I need to get re-blued. It has some spot rust on it. What is about the going rate to have one re-blued? Thanks, Matt.

You might contact Remington and ask about a factory re-finish, it might be cheaper. You can contact them by calling or using their online customer contact system.

Note that due to EPA regulations and the cost of the hand polishing labor of a blue job, these days you can get GOOD bluing or CHEAP bluing. You can't have both...chose ONE.

95% of a good blue job is in the hand polishing of the metal. People who can do good polishing don't work for minimum wage.
A ham-handed polisher will round off edges and corners that should be sharp and well defined, will dish out holes, and will leave ripples in the flats. This makes a gun look like crap even though the bluing is shiny.

As a reference as to prices, here's some top gun re-finisher services. These do top quality work, and can provide whatever level of polish you want:

Remember, cheap or good...choose ONE.
