I've had one since they were first imported. A nice gun for the money, I use mine for a field gun because it is so light. I have also used it for sporting clays. While it seems to be a well made gun I am not sure it would go 5k rounds a year for long. For a seasonal hunting gun it should last a lifetime. Uses the same choke as Franchi guns.
I got one for three gun. i had to do a little work to it but it works. I did break a hammer in the first cuople of hundred rounds but CZ sent me another no charge.

the early 712s (2005-06) where crap to put it lightly, 2007 and above are much better in every way.
Here is a on going endurance type review of the 912, which is the same as the 712 except with a nicer finish and the recoil spring moved to the butt stock to thin out the fore end.
