Looking at a Norinco .12 guage Double Barrel with exterior hammers. It has the cross bolt safety as well. Any negatives that should steer me away from it? Its in mint condition for $300.. Any input or personel experience would be appreciated,
Thanks

No personal experience but when I was pricing doubles a while back I saw quite a few on the gun auctions. What bothered me was it seemed like there was a lot of them being sold as parts guns.
To me this would imply a high failure rate but I cant verify this in any way. Most people I have talked to seem to think the Russian made doubles are better guns. None of this is first hand. Its all info gained from reading multiple gun boards.

is it the outlawcoachgun? If you can stomache that its a norinco I do not think you would be disapointed.

I don't own one, but I have handled and shot a few. They are a reverse engineered Rossi hammer gun with the added safety. Have known quite a few Cowboy Shooting friends over the years that shot them, never heard of any problems. They are a bit crude but seem to hold up fairly well to Cowboy Shooting. If you aren't planning on doing that, don't think you could break it, and sounds like a decent price.

I hear the opposite, what's your personal experience with Norincos?

I myself wouldn't buy it because I try to avoid buying as much as I feasibly can from China.
