I have seen a few discussions on these and i just want some opinion. I am refering to the latest model from Marlin which was supposidly only produced for a few years (02-03ish) I see them selling for varying values. Any insight on what a real value on one of these really is. Thanks and let the opinions fly!

The newer model is based on the 336 action. I think Marlin only made it because Winchester came out with the 9410. The 336 .410 is not shotgun like at all but just a carbine .410. The 9410, I own two, the Packer and the Ranger, handles much nicer. That being said I would buy the Marlin for the right price, $400 to $450 just because they are no longer made. MIKE.

Thats the thing, i really just bought it to sale, but im not sure what to sale it for. Like i said i have seen a few on gunbroker go for over 700 but i dont know how legit that is. I mean its easy to get a buddy to bid up an auction just keep what you were trying to sale and relist it a month later. Let me know what kind of price he would pay, the gun is absolutely new in the box. Thanks

I have a marlin mod 410 and I think it was made off of an older model,it's like Ser# 22xx probably 1929. I gave up several newer guns plus cash(I have 800.00 in it)more than I would ever get out of it.

But my Grandson will get it and the Win Mod 1890,and the Remington Ryder #9 shot-gun in .28guage. But untill I die they are mine(I've got an original Mod 12 in 20 guage 2&9/16,and a mod 37 in 20 guage as well) I love these old guns and pray to God that My Grandson will learn to use them and hold on to them as what they are!

I just came from the Marlin Lever Guns collectors sight,It seems less than 10,000 marlin 410's were made.

And mine is one of the plain ones(groves on the forgrip) plain barrell and matt across the reciever top! Also mine is 26 inch(standard) while a 22 inch barrell brings big bucks.

But mine is in great to good shape with a 1822 Ser# meaning 1929 date.

Even though I bought it for what it's worth(850)wonder what it will be worth when my Grandson gets to use it? It's priceless as they don't make them anymore.

Punch in Marlin lever .410 there website offers them for 1250.00 MRSP! Thats what a collector would pay for a 80 percent 1929 model!

I thought they were 495.00 or so when they first came out.
